Mandy began classical piano lessons at age 7, continuing studies with her first teacher, Marguerite Runner. She decided in 8th grade that she would be a musician and furthered her goal by auditioning at Northern Illinois University. Mandy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in piano and has been a pianist ever since.
​Mandy started her first rock band at age 10 and continued to perform in the rock arena to this day.
